Wanjiku Kinuthia works with Maliasili, which partners with and supports over 50 conservation organisations across Africa to accelerate the benefits they deliver for people, ecosystems, and climate outcomes. Through this work, she supports conservation leaders and teams in strengthening their narratives, communicating impact more effectively, and engaging global audiences, bringing practical experience to the conversation.

In her role, Wanjiku provides direct communications support to Maliasili’s portfolio partners, helping them strengthen how they tell their stories, engage supporters, and position their work for greater impact. She brings more than a decade of experience in high-level communications strategy, with expertise in donor communications, digital strategy, organisational branding, and media engagement. Before joining Maliasili, she worked at Lewa Wildlife Conservancy, where she helped shape the organisation’s communications efforts.

Wanjiku believes that positive conservation narratives are integral to shifting how conservation is understood, inspiring action, and driving lasting change across the sector.
