Chanda is a multifaceted professional who is passionate about Africa writing her own conservation story. She brings a holistic approach to her work, focusing on solving real-world problems with innovative and pragmatic solutions. She holds an MSc degree in Geography and Environmental Management from the University of Witwatersrand and an MBA in Conservation Leadership from the African Leadership University School of Business. She joins the Coalition after serving as the Executive Director at the Wildlife Producers Association of Zambia, where she was brought in to set up the Association’s first full-time Secretariat. With a range of proficiencies which include: strategic planning, lobby and advocacy, fundraising, research, project management, systems thinking, and workshop facilitation. Chanda is passionate about challenging the status quo and leveraging various competencies to collaborate and drive positive change that makes a lasting impact on conservation efforts in Zambia and beyond. Her extensive knowledge and experience in both large and small conservation organizations give her a well-rounded perspective on the sector. Chanda serves on the board of the Tourism Council of Zambia, is an Advisory Board member for the African Leadership University School of Wildlife Conservation, and current Vice-Chair of the African Wildlife Economy Community of Practice.
